Olympic hopeful, mother of child
with autism, wife of a politician, small business owner, mother
of three... ************************** Welcome to www.MelanieRoach.com! __________________________________ I remember the day well when I turned to my husband and said, “I Have an Idea!” That idea was to return to weightlifting after taking five years off, and pursue my Olympic Dream. Now, here I am only weeks away from securing a spot on the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team that will compete this summer in China at the 2008 Beijing Olympics! I would not be in this position without a lot of help, so thank you to my coach, sponsors and everyone supporting me, especially my husband and three kids! Our first Olympic qualifying event took place a this years National Championships in Columbus, OH. I won my 8th National Championship and my total gave me the #3 spot on our four woman team! The Olympic Trials will be held in Atlanta, GA, May 16- 17th, where I will defend my spot on the U.S. Olympic Team Thank you for all of your support!
